Your practice, inside ChatGPT and Claude
MatterOS speaks the Model Context Protocol. Paste one URL into ChatGPT, Claude, or any MCP-capable assistant, and it can read and act across all six pillars of your practice - scoped precisely to what you can see in the app.
https://thematteros.com/mcpAsk, don't click
Query your caseload in plain English. No dashboard hunting, no filter menus.
Capture on the fly
A thought in chat becomes a real task, a logged hour, or a finding on the right matter.
Your permissions travel with you
Every request runs as you. If you can't see a matter in the app, your assistant can't either.
14 tools, across all six pillars
These are the exact tools a connected assistant is given - nothing hidden. Every call runs under your account and respects your permissions. Reads are safe by default; the few writes are clearly marked.

Time
Connected in under a minute
https://thematteros.com/mcpYou'll approve the connection in a browser tab using your MatterOS login. Each teammate connects with their own account - tokens are per person, never shared.
ChatGPT
- 1Open Settings → Connectors → Advanced and turn on Developer mode.
- 2In a chat, click + in the composer and enable Developer mode.
- 3Click Add sources → Connect more.
- 4Name the connector MatterOS and paste the URL above.
- 5Ask: “List my open matters in MatterOS.”
Claude
- 1Open Claude → Connectors → Add custom connector.
- 2Name it MatterOS and paste the URL above.
- 3Enable the connector from the composer, then ask Claude to use MatterOS - for example, “What tasks are open on my active matters?”
How authorization works
- 1You paste the URL into ChatGPT or Claude and click Connect.
- 2A browser tab opens. Sign in to MatterOS with your own email or Google - the same login you use here.
- 3A consent screen asks if you want to let that assistant act on your account. Approve or deny.
- 4Your assistant receives a token scoped to you. Every call runs as you - it can only see and change what you can.
Safety & scope
- Per-user OAuth. Each teammate signs in with their own account. No shared API keys, no service tokens.
- Row-level scoped. The assistant inherits your row-level security - it can never see another user's matters, tasks, or clients.
- Reads by default. Most tools only read. The handful that write (create/update task, log time, add finding or person) are clearly marked.
- Revoke any time. Disconnect MatterOS from your assistant's connector settings and the token dies immediately.
