   On Actions, add In review and Approved (or similar) to the existing status.

   A person property that names who must approve.

   Record when approval happened.

   Use a database template with checks such as facts, authorities, tone, client instructions.

   Make a Needs review view

   Filter by status In review, grouped by reviewer.

A short sign-off checklist

1. Does the document match the client's instructions?
2. Are facts and dates checked against the matter page?
3. Have authorities been checked at the source?
4. Is it going to the right person, with the right level of detail?
5. Is the next Action created?

Limits and responsibilities

MatterOS does not enforce permissions by role, send approval requests or keep a formal audit log. Restrict who can edit status with Notion's access controls, and keep your supervision obligations as defined by your own regulator.

Technically yes. Your process should say that the reviewer must be someone else.
